Mrs Sarah Baker was 31 when she migrated with her family to Canterbury (see Richard Baker). In 1900, Mrs Baker was living in Otaki Street, Kaiapoi.

Mrs Bakers obituary appears in The Star; Tuesday May 9 1905; page 3; column 5.

However, obituary states she is the wife of the late James Baker (deceased 1885).  They arrived on the Cressy with thier 3 sons and 3 daughters.  Also mentions Mrs Baker living with her daughter Mrs F Thorne since her husbands death.
