Moses Mouldey was 12 when he migrated to Canterbury with his family (see Edwin Coxhead Mouldey). In 1900, he was living at Doyleston.
According to the family, Moses (Tom) was born in 1838 in Stockcross Speen, Newbury, England. On November 1, 1876, he married Martha Fletcher (1853-1891). Martha and Moses had seven children − Eleanor (1877-1953), Isaac Henry Fletcher (1878-1921), Frank (b. 1881), Albert Moses (1883-1968), Clement Thomas (1884-1968), Ernest (b. 1886) and Leonard Fletcher (1888-1970).1
