(See Enoch Smart.) Amos was a labourer in Christchurch before getting his own farm at Mt Grey, near Sefton. He died on September 14, 1915, at Rangiora and is buried in the Balcairn Cemetery, near Rangiora. He married Margaret “Itulcup’’ Hulcup on August 4, 1856, at St Michael’s Church, Christchurch. They had 14 children.
